Life Under the Amazon Forest Tapestry

Boa constrictors, scorpions, macaws, vampire bats, sloths, tarantulas, jaguars, monkeys, etc. The Amazon pulsates with life as we know, and perhaps don´t know, it so well

This month is devoted to animal life in the Amazon Forest. With such an overpoweringly endless list of Amazon animals to choose from--not to mention the undiscovered species--we might as well follow a pattern of articles that is more or less alphabetical.

To this end, the first article to be presented covers the ponderous, long-tongued, vacuum-cleaner-like (giant) anteater and the slimy, hug-me-till-it-hurts boa constrictor.

There are also articles to be found on the jaguar and piranha.
