are piranhas really that deadly that people really say they are? or are we kind of drawning a cruved line (telling a white lie)

In response to is piranhas......... posted by monalisa014:Yes, as mentioned under the third subtitle, it is a myth that the piranha is deadly. There are no recorded cases of them ever having devoured a living human.
I remember seeing a film some years ago in which a woman fell into the water of a river infested with piranhas. The piranhas made short work of her. This was a shocking sight to me, and for years afterward I assumed that the piranha was incredibly vicious and deadly.
